Zack is a staff writer at Forbes where he covers finance and music. Zack has his own remarkable story about creating what is possible for himself as a white Yale grad writing about the hip hop world. Zack is the autho or Empire State of Mind: How Jay-Z Went from Street Corner to Corner Office.

Join us as we discuss:

  • his intention for writing the book
  • his journey into the hip-hop world
  • getting out of your own way
  • The Takeaway – success and failures

Connect with Zack

My epiphany after the interview with Zack is to ask a better question. Stop asking “who the hell am I to do….” Instead ask “What do I want to create TODAY?” Start today by taking the steps of what you see is possible. Dont’ worry about where you end up. Stop your story of who you once were. It did not stop Jay-Z nor Zack. What’s stopping you? What step can you take TODAY to move you forward.

Born in Ireland, Mick Quinn came to America for the American Dream. Most of us would consider Mick as having it all. He was a CEO of a NYC technology company while living on 5th Avenue.

This is the third in a series of interviews I am doing with Mick. The first one was an introduction to him and his personal journey. The second interview we discussed how our conditioning has so much influence on our lives and what can be done to create change, in thinking, emotions and our actions.

In this interview Mick and I discuss:

  • resistance
  • change
  • trust
  • Two Takeaways – specific practices to help people learn to trust.

After listening to the interview, can you practice trying to catch your emotion before you express it?
