Her fourteen years as a stockbroker at Smith Barney was an epic battle against old beliefs and prejudices that she, like so many women, thought were long gone. Ariane was very successful in our society’s view – she went to the London School of Economics, earned her Stanford MBA, climbed the very tall corporate ladder at Times Warner running their $500 million digital-media venture fund. What it’s really like to be a public servant in a small community. Why does one go into public service? We will find out in this interview with Davis School Board Member Gina Daleiden. She has been a member since 2005 and was the President in 2009. Gina has been involved at every level of our public schools system in Davis starting with pre-school all the way through the high school. Gina has served on the Davis School Board during some of the toughtest economic years in recent history. In this interview Gina discusses being of service to her community.
